ATLANTA (December 5, 2023) In its annual Best Nursing Homes Issue released in November, U.S. News and World Report named The William Breman Jewish Home and its Aviv Rehabilitation Center as a 2024 Best Nursing Home.

Located in Buckhead, The William Breman Jewish Home (WBJH) is part of the Jewish HomeLife family of residential communities and at-home care services. It is a non-profit skilled nursing home and short term rehabilitation center that has been serving older adults of all faiths and ethnicities since 1951.

The magazine annually considers more than 15,000 skilled-nursing facilities across the country for the issue, which is in its seventh year of printing. To be named as a Best Nursing Home, facilities “must be among the elite 19% of Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) that earned a ‘High Performing’ rating, the highest possible achievement,” according to the quality measures considered by the publication.

According to the U.S. News website, to be recognized as one of the 2024 U.S. News Best Nursing Homes, a home must have been “High Performing” in short-term rehabilitation, long-term care or both. Out of the 15,007 nursing homes evaluated by U.S. News, 2,804 (19%) met those criteria. Of those:

  • 1,918 homes were High Performing in short-term rehabilitation.
  • 1,353 homes were High Performing in long-term care.
  • 467 were High Performing in both.

“We are really excited to once again be recognized among the top class of skilled nursing homes,” said President and CEO Jeffrey A. Gopen. “From front to back, the team has worked incredibly hard to make sure our quality metrics reflect our long-standing tradition of exceptional care and service, and it shows. Of the quality measures considered for this designation, The William Breman Jewish Home rated better than both state and national averages in nearly all categories.”
