In an effort to help meet the medical needs of patients and residents on our campus, in the neighborhood and throughout the organization, JHLC recently opened a walk-in clinic as part of JHLC Medical Services, LLC, a new service of Jewish HomeLife. Led by Patricia G. Brennen (“Patty”), a geriatric nurse practitioner (NP) with extensive clinical experience, the clinic will be open Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:00am to 3:00pm and is located inside our Zaban Tower at 3156 Howell Mill Road in Buckhead.
Since 1997, Patty has worked as a NP for United Health Care in a variety of clinical roles which included providing care at The William Breman Jewish Home for many years. She received a Master of Science in Nursing from Yale University and did her thesis on “The Fear of Falling in the Elderly.” She has spent most of her professional career caring for the geriatric population. Her expertise in both medical and behavioral chronic and acute conditions will be invaluable to the patients, resident and their families.
As an added benefit to those who wish to utilize her services, Patty will spend her time outside the clinic hours making house calls at our multiple communities, which include: The William Breman Jewish Home, Aviv Rehabilitation Center, Weinstein Hospice, as well as Berman Commons in Dunwoody and The Cohen Home in Johns Creek. Patty will work under the supervision of Dr. Alex Rikhter, Medical Director of The William Breman Jewish Home and Weinstein Hospice. Working with Dr. Rikhter and the clinical teams within JHLC, Patty will help manage the ever changing care needs of our growing geriatric community.
