Hospice & Palliative Care Wherever a Patient Calls Home

Weinstein Hospice is a small community-based in-home hospice that provides at-home hospice and palliative care services to people facing life-limiting and end-of-life illnesses.

Our focus is on quality of life and our goal is to keep patients comfortable and as pain-free as possible, surrounded by the people and things they love. We provide expert medical care, pain and symptom management, and emotional and spiritual support – offering stability, compassion and comfort to patients and families when and where it’s needed most.

We pride ourselves on being a small, community-based hospice. We’re part of the community …. our patients and their families are our neighbors. Here we like to say we don’t just care for our patients; we care about them.

Our families agree. We score above the 90th percentile in all family feedback scores on CMS Hospice Compare – a higher rating than any other hospice provider in the Atlanta metro area.

Hospice and Palliative Care: Understanding the Difference

Both palliative care and hospice care provide comfort. Palliative care can begin at diagnosis, and at the same time as treatment. Hospice care begins after treatment of the disease is stopped and when it is clear the illness is not survivable. Hospice services are covered completely by most insurances and by Medicare.

Whichever care is required, our services are provided wherever the patient lives, whether it’s in their own private residence, nursing home or assisted living community. If at any time the patient’s condition improves or they decide to pursue aggressive treatment, the patient can be discharged from hospice.

Hear What Families Are Saying

Hospice is about living. Making the most of every moment we have left. Hear from our chaplain with one of our families talk about this experience and how having compassionate hospice caregivers helped both his parents and family members during the final days.

Your Team

The key to providing comfortable care is a comprehensive plan that involves a team of experienced medical and healthcare professionals, dedicated to addressing all aspects of a patient’s illness and family needs. Our team includes a physician, a RN case manager/advocate, nurses and certified nursing aides, spiritual advisors, social workers, and volunteers. They all share a common goal: to positively affect the lives they touch.

A Service of the Jewish HomeLife Network

As part of the not-for-profit Jewish HomeLife network of services – an organization known for providing exceptional services and lifestyles – our care reflects the traditional Jewish concern for the personal dignity and uniqueness of each human life. Consistent with the Jewish belief that hospitality is a value, we welcome any patient and their family, people of the Jewish faith, any other faith, or no faith at all.

While 50% of our patients are non-Jewish, as a Jewish Hospice, we possess a built-in recognition of the cultural nuances, collective histories, and sensibilities many Jewish people share. We know the Jewish calendar, traditions and rituals, and have Russian and Hebrew-speaking staff. We’re Atlanta’s only Jewish Hospice.
