Our Philosophy

The need for hospice and palliative care in Metro Atlanta marks a change in how patients look at their lives moving forward. Our philosophy is to approach that change as a celebration of life and an opportunity to enjoy the time they have left.

Hospice and Palliative Care: Understanding the Difference

Both palliative and hospice care provide comfort. However with palliative care, patients are not required to discontinue treatment as well as PT/OT/ST, home health etc. Hospice care begins after treatment of the disease is stopped and when it is clear that the person is not expected to live greater than 6 months. Care in Your Home

Patients can remain in their own homes. Hospice care is provided wherever the patient lives, whether it’s in their own private residence, nursing home or assisted living facility. If at any time the patient’s condition improves or they decide to pursue aggressive treatment, the patient can be discharged from hospice.
