Volunteer Opportunities.

From Mah Jongg and Bingo to baby playgroups and sing-a-longs, our residents cherish times spent with friends of every generation. With the help of community volunteers, synagogues, schools and civic groups, our Activity Director creates enjoyable, engaging and intergenerational programs for our residents.

Volunteers Make A BIG Difference!

Just taking the time to smile and socialize with a resident greatly adds to his or her quality of life. We invite you to share whatever interests, skills or talents you have with our residents—ongoing or as one-time special events. We welcome energetic, dedicated people who enjoy engaging with seniors through a myriad of rewarding volunteer opportunities, including:

  • Art classes and projects
  • Bingo, Mah Jongg and Jeopardy
  • Challah and cookie baking
  • Friendly visits
  • Discussion groups
  • Holiday celebrations and Shabbat dinners
  • Birthday celebrations
  • Manicures
  • Book Club
  • Music, dancing and entertainment
  • Play an instrument
  • Share your talent!

The Auxiliary

The Cohen Home branch of The Auxiliary, a volunteer organization that provides support to The William Breman Jewish Home, also creates extraordinary events and programs for our residents in addition to the opportunities made available by our Activity Director.
